1 Cup Uncooked Rice
2 Cups Mineral Water
1 Teaspoon Salt
2 Tablespoons Finely Chopped Onion
2 Tablespoons Butter Or Margarine
3 Tablespoons Of Extra Virgin Olive Oil [optional]
1 Tablespoon Onion Powder [optional]
1 Tablespoon Tabasco Green Pepper Sauce [optional]
1 Tablespoon Ground Garlic [optional]
1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce [optional]
1 Tablespoon Teriyaki Sauce [optional]

Cooking Directions:
Heat 1 Cup rice, 2 Cups water and 1 teaspoon and 1 teaspoon to a boil. Stir once or twice, reduce heat. Cover and simmer 14 minutes. Don't lift cover or stir. Remove from heat gently fluff with a fork and let steam cook for 5 to 10 more minutes. Set aside. In a large skillet melt butter, Mix in fine chopped onion and cook until glazed and tender. Stir into cooked rice. Serve dish warm. Goes well with side dishes such as fresh baked garlic bread, or a warm tortilla.
